Resources for children and Youth
| KIDS CLOTHES CLOSET: | The Kids Clothes Closet provides good used clothing (collected in the community) for school-age children in the Castle Rock and Toutle School Districts. The board also raises funds to purchase shoes, socks, and underwear. Kids Clothes Closet is a St. Paul based ministry, but many clothes and money donations are received from the community. |
| SUMMER DAY CAMP:
Not scheduled for summer 2010 |
Watch for our schedule for the summer of 2011. It is open to all youth who have completed kindergarten through fourth grade, and to Jr. and Sr. High youth interested in being on the staff. To register or for more information, call the church office from 9am to noon (274-6604). |
| KIDS MEALS SUMMER FREE LUNCH PROGRAM: | Watch for our schedule for the summer of 2010. For more information call the church office from 9am to noon (274-6604). |
| CONFIRMATION MINISTRY: |
During the seventh-, eighth-, and ninth-grade years,
special ministry is offered to youth as they prepare for the Rite of
Confirmation.
The ministry features weekly presentations led by the pastor. This is
followed by a small group session of prayer, sharing, and discussion led by
a guide. The youth ministry also includes scheduled Fellowship and Servant
Ministry opportunities. Those involved in the youth are encouraged to
worship and attend Sunday School regularly, assist in worship by serving as
an acolyte, attend Wednesday evening confirmation classes September through
May, spend one week at a church camp in the summer, and participate in other
special retreats as planned. |
| RITE OF CONFIRMATION: | The Rite of Confirmation takes place in October during the 10th-grade year and is a ceremony in which the young person publicly proclaims his/her intention to identify with Christ and His Church and to participate in its mission and ministry. The Rite is not graduation, but rather a celebration of another step in a lifetime of learning and growing in the gospel of Jesus Christ. |
| YOUTH AND FAMILY MINISTRY: | St. Paul's ongoing Youth and Family Ministry includes: weekly Bible Study for high school and post hi youth; monthly fellowship activities for grades 4-6 and middle school youth. |
