1.      Call to Order

Nate Porter from The Book of Faith Initiative Team of SW Wash. Synod gave a presentation on the Book of Faith Initiative and brought samples of Bibles and Bible study material.  The main focus is for all Lutherans to become more fluent in scripture.  It was decided to review the material during the next month and discuss further at the next meeting.

The minutes were read.  One typographical error was found under the Property and Finance report and it was corrected to read:  Dave Whittaker has repaired some holes on the sidewalk¼. It was moved and seconded to accept the minutes as corrected.  The motion carried.

The Treasurer’s Report was read.   It was moved and seconded to accept the Treasurer’s Report and the motion carried.

Bicyclists:  23 college age bicyclists from the University of Illinois will be passing through Castle Rock on July 30 on a fund raising tour to promote Camp Kesem, an organization that runs summer camps for children with cancer affected parents.  They will be spending the night at St. Paul’s.  Beth, Erika, Linda and Bonnie will coordinate a dinner for them and see that the building is open for their use.

Synod Outreach Grant:  There is a grant available to provide funds to hire a person to do activities at the Summer Kid’s Meal.  Due to time, this issue will be discussed further at the next meeting.
