Worship

Worship is the very center of our life in Christ at St. Paul. We come together weekly to worship, praising and thanking God; listening to the Word proclaimed in scriptures, sermon, sacrament and song; and offering ourselves, our time, abilities, and resources as we receive God's love, forgiveness, and grace. In our Lutheran expression of worship, the Word of God is held central by weekly assigned scripture reading, biblical preaching, and the celebration of the sacrament.

The Eucharist is celebrated weekly in Sunday morning worship. Liturgies used include settings from the Evangelical Lutheran Worship Book and Marty Haugen's "Tree of Life". Choir and music leaders provide leadership for hymns and liturgy. Tracker pipe organ, piano, or guitar provide accompaniment. We use a variety of styles for congregational songs.

Holden Evening Prayer is used for our midweek services during the season of Lent.
