St. Paul is one of 11,000 congregations in the United States in a union of congregations called the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, often abbreviated ELCA.

The ELCA church is divided geographically into 65 synods. There are 96 congregations in our synod which covers the area from Tacoma and Port Angeles to the north and west to Long Beach and Vancouver to the south and west to the Cascades to the east.

St. Paul is one of six congregations of the Lower Columbia Cluster. Our Bishop is Rob Hofstad whose office is in Parkland.
